An Elegant Spring Wedding at Oak Meadow | Meredith and Matthew

Planning a wedding for people like Meredith and Matthew is what dreams are made of! They are two of the most kind and easy to love people, so I had no doubts that this wedding day was going to be a good one. Matthew got down on one knee in the spring of 2022 and her sweet momma, Sami, contacted me very soon after to get the planning started for a March wedding the following year.

Meredith knew prior to booking that her heart was set on Oak Meadow Event Center in Ohatchee, Alabama. If you’re familiar with this venue, you know why! This stunning all white wedding venue is as beautiful on the inside as it is out and could not have fit these two better.

Our original plan for her ceremony was to have it in the outdoor space but as unpredictable Alabama weather would have it, we had a good bit of rain the night before that left the ground unfitting for guests and a pretty white dress. Oak Meadow has full capabilities to swap to an indoor ceremony in these circumstances, but Meredith’s heart was set on getting married outside. Thankfully our friends at Oak Meadow were ready and willing to make this happen for us and we became the first wedding to take place in their front entrance space along a gorgeous wall of arborvitaes. I’d say it turned out just as beautiful as plan A!

Meredith dreamed of a white, green, and silver design which shined beautifully throughout their day. We chose the classic white florals and greenery, tied in the silver details with her candles and chargers, and sprinkled in pops of sage with her dinner napkins and bridesmaids dresses. The head table featured tall trumpet vase arrangements that made it shine. It was stunning!

Following their ceremony and a delicious meal, the two danced the night away with their friends and family as husband and wife! As a special nod to one of their favorite restaurants, Chick fil a, we arranged a late night chicken sandwich snack for their guests which went over just as you’d expect – a HIT!

Mr. and Mrs. Howington, it was the greatest pleasure planning your big day with you! What a joy it is to know you and to have shared in this special season of your lives. All of my love and well wishes to you two!!!
