An Elegant, Vibrant Garden Party Wedding at The Sonnet House

When I first met Meredith and her sweet mom Donna, I knew this day was going to be fabulous. They were the perfect pair (right behind Meredith and Harrison of course!) and made this season SUCH a joy. We started planning in the fall of 2023. Meredith and Harrison had been together for 5 years and she didn’t want to push out any further than she had to so we started planning for a gorgeous spring wedding in April!

Meredith had two goals in our design – elegance and color. We decided that The Sonnet House, located in Leeds, AL, was the perfect setting for the elegant garden party style we envisioned. It is  definitely one of my favorite spots in Birmingham and you can see why in all of these beautiful photos! Meredith specifically wanted the color to shine solely through the flowers and BOY, did they shine! CD Florals knocked it all the way out of the park on this vibrant vision that just screamed happiness. They were amazing!! 

The ceremony took place at the gorgeous outdoor fireplace and this was easily a favorite design element of the day for me. The colorful florals shined, the draping added a touch of softness, and the scenery was just so dreamy. Another favorite was the cake! The smooth, classic design with the big beautiful bow was a show stopper as guests entered the house. And every little detail in between, from the champagne pour to the cold spark first dance, made for such a fun and exciting celebration! 

Meredith and Harrison, thank you SO much for allowing me the honor of being your planner!! You guys deserve ALL the happiness and good things that marriage brings – all my love to The Joneses, including Beignet girl 😉
