Riley and Harrison’s gorgeous wedding day was a highlight of my 2024 summer! These two are high school sweethearts and dreamed of a full weekend experience for their wedding, celebrating with the people they love most.
We chose the Barn at Smith Lake, a beautiful venue overlooking the lake with picturesque views from their outdoor ceremony space as well as through the glass wall inside the barn. This venue has ample on site lodging that allowed the bride, groom, wedding party, and their family to stay on site all weekend! It was a dream!
Riley envisioned a day of blue and white and she loves all things vintage and elegance with a touch of modern. She wore the sleeves of her aunt’s wedding dress which fit her vibe so beautifully! She and Harrison shared the sweetest, most heartfelt vows at their first look as the rain quite literally POURED down behind them (don’t worry it cleared in time for the ceremony!). It was spectacular.
The ceremony views were so incredible on their own so we opted for a stunning grounded meadow arch designed by the incredible Wildly Rooted Floral Design. After the ceremony, the groom kicked off cocktail hour with a thank you toast to all of their people who came to celebrate them.
Inside the barn, a stunning seated dinner awaited their guests. The head table was most definitely a favorite piece of the design! We opted for a blue and white toile print linen that tied in the vintage vibes. The florals, blue taper candles, and custom menus/signage all meshed together so beautifully for an incredible dinner experience.
We continued the vintage vibes through to the amazing cake that looked like wedge wood pottery! Obsessed with this detail! And speaking of details, we didn’t overlook a single one. Riley was my detail queen! We tied in her beautiful crest, their cats, and all of their favorite things through custom cups, koozies, napkins, tea towels, itineraries, matchbooks, and more. After dinner, Riley and Harrison enjoyed an evening of fun on the dance floor, in the photobooth, and just being with their people. I couldn’t have asked for a better day for these two.
Riley and Harrison, you guys are the best and I’m so grateful to have played a part in your story! All my love to you in married life and all the amazing things life has in store!
